Vinyl Siding
Most common siding in Wisconsin for a reason—it's cheap, holds up decent, low maintenance.
- Thicker gauge vinyl (.044 or .046 minimum)
- Rated for temperature extremes
- Light colors (dark colors warp more in summer heat)
- Proper nailing (loose enough for expansion/contraction)
- Thin builder-grade vinyl (gets brittle, cracks)
- Face-nailed (should be nailed through slots)
- Painted vinyl (paint doesn't expand with the vinyl)
